Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to the wedding?
Your dress-up clothes! Wear what makes you feel like celebrating. As we get closer to the wedding, the weather should be more predictable, but late September on Camano Island is usually wonderfully mild - mid-60s during the day, upper-40s overnight. There is a short outdoor walk (shuttle available) from the ceremony site to the reception site. (Data nerds, check the weather!)
What should we see in the area?
Camano Isalnd is a great place to spend the weekend!  We love to stroll along the beach at low tide or relax with a good book while listening to the sounds of the waves.   If you're looking for even more adventure, check out these nearby activities:
  • Take a hike to Cranberry Lake.
  • Build a toy boat at the Center for Wooden Boats or take a real boat out for a spin on the waters of the Saratoga Passage.
  • Enjoy lunch at the Cama Beach Cafe.
  • Go ziplining through the trees at Canopy Tours Northwest (must reserve in advance).
  • Golf at Camaloch Golf Course.
  • See what nearby Camano Island State Park has to offer.
Are there parking fees at Cama Beach State Park?
As with all Washington State Parks, there is a parking fee if you are not staying overnight. To support our parks, we are asking Washington State residents to either pay the $10 one-day fee, or purchase a Discover Pass, $30, which is good for 12 months. We will provide the park office a list of out-of-state guests to cover your parking fees. If you are staying in a cabin at the park, your parking fees are included with your reservation. Learn more about the Discover Pass and parking fees here.  Subway happens to be running a pretty neat promotion right now for Discover Pass holders - check it out!
Is there wi-fi?
Yes, in the Cama Center. Our AT&T and Verizon phones have 4G connectivity.
It looks like you're getting married on an island - what's the ferry schedule like?
Camano Island is connected to the mainland by a causeway so you won't need to worry about any ferry schedules.  Yay!
